John FOWLER Bap 25 Apr 1830, Ramsbury, Wiltshire.
Betsey FOWLER Bap 3 Jan 1832, Ramsbury, Wiltshire.
James FOWLER Bap 27 Jan 1833, Ramsbury, Wiltshire.
William FOWLER Bap 16 Oct 1836, Ramsbury, Wiltshire.
Ann FOWLER Bap 19 Aug 1838, Ramsbury, Wiltshire.
Samuel FOWLER Bap 29 Nov 1840, Ramsbury, Wiltshire.
Mary FOWLER (1845? ).
Emily FOWLER (1847? ).

The 2 youngest children were born in New Zealand and I have no more information on them at present.  Their names and approximate dates of birth were on John Fowler's death certificate (1883).  That certificate also names his parents as Samuel Fowler and Mary Mary

The baptisms have all been checked in the Ramsbury Parish Registers.

The trees I inherited suggest the line of descent you have outlined but I have not checked it completely as yet. I can let you have the unverified details if you would like.

Hi,
I have just begun my search on the history of my family but my grandmother has been doing it for some time. I have recently relocated to Riwaka and my gran decided to tell me we are descendants of someone who used to live here - William Pratt. I am trying to get my hands on Sarah Pratt's journals which you mention Barbara. I am going to the local museum (which has a large amount of information on the families that lived here) next week so I may be able to shed some light on the younger two fowler children. From what I can see, there is an Emily Fowler who remained in the area, unmarried, until her death in 1917. The grave search says she was 71 which puts the birthdate of 1847 about right.
Sarah and William's daughter, Frances, married ? Anderson and their daughter, Phyllis, married Henry Kitson - my great grandfather.

From what my Mum told me there was two families of Fowler's one in Riwaka, and one in the Nelson/88 Valley area. There are some similarities with the two families

Can someone tell me if there is any information on the Fowler family in Wiltshire  confirm that having a carriers bussines and farming would like to get some old photos of the area and the stables they had in main street of Ramsbury there is mention of farm land with large home called the white house  and a small cottage by the gate
All help would be great
