Peter Castro b 1777
« on: Sunday 09 October 11 00:17 BST (UK) »
Hi all and thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer me.

For a long time now we have been perplexed by this Peter Castro, born 1777 (listed on 1841 census as "born, scotland, ireland or overseas) Just trying to track him down and see if he was actually from ireland so am trying to locate any shipping records that may have him as a passenger from 1777 to 1811, i know by 1811 he is in london as he marries a sarah carlton on 19/5/1811 in westminster, any ideas ??
Thanks again
Williams

There is a Peter Castro Marriage in Dublin in 1791
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/576c5c0420260
There ar 11 Castro records for Dublin in the 1800's on this site, more next century. Maybe this Peter is the father of your chap, as someone of the name dies in 1793.
As far as I know there were no shipping lists between Ireland and England at the period.

Have a look round and see if it makes sense with the info you have.
