As far as the Parishes that have been indexed/transcribed and periods covered is concerned, the file showing this is the one dated 18th August 2010 - here http://www.rootschat.com/links/0fdw/

Hopefully it will be updated soon to reflect the current situation.

IrishGenealogy has details for about 46 Cork parishes, all in the Diocese of Cork and Ross, and the south west of the county. They dont appear to have any coverage for the parishes to the east of the county, or in the Diocese of Cloyne.

There are about 103 RC parishes in the Cork City and county in total. (some of the parishes are partially in other counties)

Hi Shane. Is St Paul's the only Dublin city parish which is not on the Irish Genealogy site? Frostyknight

it depends a little bit on the dates... but for the years before civil registration, all the city parishes except St. Paul's are included.

Thanks for the quick reply Shane.  :) I've found lots of info since the parish registers came on line, there's a couple of 'missing' people that I haven't located yet.

Irish Genealogy has just enlarged its collection substantially with Catholic records from Dublin City and County Cork, including images of the original records in many instances.

Already broken a couple of long-standing brick walls.

While I would have loved for my brickwalls to have crumbled, initial disappointment has been replaced with renewed enthusiasm for the hunt and further names to look at in helping me on my road of discovery.

Keep hunting guys, all the effort will be worth it

I'm giving up on my County Cork lot they are permanently in the hopeless cases category with "no county Kelly".
