If Rathmines is not included, you might consider checking out the records for the parish on microfilm at the National Library.  The Rathmines film is very legible and the registers are indexed making it very easy to find people.

It's not really following city boundaries as such.   It already contains parishes as far out as Bohernabreena which was utterly countryside back then.  On the other hand it doesnt contain a major inner city RC parish Dt Paul's Arran Quay which "belongs" to www.rootsireland.ie.  At least there's no sign of Rathmines RC on rootsireland

Rathmines Church of Ireland is already on irishgenealogy.ie by the way.

I've a suspicion that IrishGenealogy might leave the St. Paul's records out of the update... no real evidence for this. It's the only city parish RootsIreland seem to have ..

I was given some information about a year ago concerning the Dublin RC parish records. The records that were indicated as likely to be included in the next update are............

St Lawrence O'Toole
St Mary's Pro-Cathedral
Fairview
**Aughrim Street
**Cabra

** The records for these two parishes may remain 'in local custody'

H
Drogheda, Co Louth - Magee/McGee
Dublin City - Brady, Magee/McGee, McNally, Sheridan, Taylor
Mitchelstown, Co Cork - Hyland, Martin, Russell
Ballyporeen, Co Tipperary - Russell

I think it's a given that Arran Quay won't be on irishgenealogy.  There is no parish anywhere so far that's on both sites.  There'd be no point in rootsireland having stuff that's free on irishgenealogy.

I'll be interested though to see what the division is of Monaghan as rootsireland already has some.
