I'm probably whistling in the wind here, but can anybody suggest where this person might be buried?

I've looked at the online Manchester burials and can't find him there. It is possible that he might be a Catholic.

It is possible that he might be buried with his wife - Fanny -  who it is believed might have died in 1897.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What non-working website?

Is somebody whose death was registered in Chorlton likely to be buried in Moston? I thought it was more likely to be a burial at Southern Cemetery which is why I checked the online Manchester burials but can't find it there.

Any other suggestions/options?

What do I do on the Salford site? This seems to be for grave owners or am I not getting it?

Definitely.  I've got one or two Roman Catholics whose deaths were registered in Chorlton and who are buried in St Joseph's.

If you can get an exact date of death, they might  check for a burial without charging.

People from all over Manchester and beyond were buried in St Joseph's being a dedicated Catholic cemetery

Like Luzzu says ring them with correct date.

Having done some further exploration, we are beginning to think that he wasn't Catholic at all.

Any idea where he might be buried? He doesn't appear on the online Manchester Burial Website.

The cemeteries Manchester City Council cemeteries seem to be the obvious places and if he wasn't Catholic then you can rule out St Joseph's.

Could he have been cremated  .

I suppose the next cemeteries to consider are those owned by Salford City Council:-

Have you found burials for his parents or children?  Families tend to use the same cemetery.

One of his children is buried in a Catholic plot at Southern cemetery - hence me thinking he might be Catholic.

It ould now appear that whilst this son married a Catholic wife (in a Register Office not Registrar attended) none of his other children were and he wasn't.
