Please can anyone help regarding my ancestor John Jones, a Wrexham collier born abt 1839 in Gwersyllt, son of Edward Jones, also a collier ? John married Ellen Davies (daughter of William Davies a labourer) in Wrexham Parish Church 11th Feb 1861 (witnesses Joseph and Jane Lloyd). He died in an 1880 mining accident, I believe, after which Ellen and her children moved to Irlam, Lancashire.
From census data Joseph Lloyd also seems to be a Wrexham collier. I wonder if he was John's friend or if Jane was the sister of John or Ellen?
