Death between the Wars, Army spouse, Germany 1924
« on: Wednesday 05 October 11 08:02 BST (UK) »
Edgar Robinson was an officer in 1st Dragoon Guards stationed in Germany in 1924.  Edgar's young English bride Rosina (aged 19) died suddenly a few months into the marriage.  She is listed as having died in Cologne in 1924.  That's all I know.
How do I find out about the cause of death?  I do not live in UK or Europe, so I cannot just "drop in" somewhere and look up some files.

pepperonipie..Welcome. When you have made three posts you can send tapestry a personal message. They have not been online since February. But they will see it when they next sign in.

Failing that you will have to order the certificate.

Ken

Hi Pepperonipie,

Rosina was a gorgeous young thing aged about 18 when she married Edgar T, who was about 35 and very handsome.  He had already experienced the WWI and was in UK for a short time between postings.  After they married, they went back to Germany where she died a couple of months later on 27 Nov 1924, official cause was cerebral hemorrhage.  She is buried in Cologne.  Edgar was devastated and ordered that anything and everything that could possibly remind him of her be destroyed.  Thank goodness a few people ignored him!  Several years later he remarried and started a new life.
