The Money Family

Hi

im a beginner at this and am looking for any information possible on the Money family. As far as i know they mainly stem from norwich and branch out across east anglia. my uncle, granddad and great granddad are all William Money as its a family name. my grandad was william John money and died aged 85 on the 11th of july 2010 and grew up in norwich. any information prior to this would be greatfull.

William R Money - July-September 1925 - Norwich - 4b 140
This shows that his mum's maiden name was Rooke, so this looks like his parents' marriage:
Jan-Mar 1921 - Norwich - William R Money / Mary A E P Rooke
Looks like he had a number of brothers/sisters - can't post details here as they may still be living - but you can find them yourself on the freebmd website by just typing the two surnames into the appropriate search boxes.
Mary Ann E P Rooke, birth registered Apr-Jun 1900 Norwich ... and so on
Any idea what the R stood for?  There are a couple of possibilities for William R Money (senior) but the most likely one looks like William Robert Money, Jul-Sep 1897 Erpingham.

Do you know if Mary Ann was known as Nellie?

The reason I ask is that there is a Nellie Rooke in the 1901 census aged 10 months born in Norwich Norfolk and again in the 1911 census with parents Lydia and Michael, but no birth reg for a Nellie Rooke c1900 in Norfolk and there does  not appear to be a Mary Rooke c1900, Norfolk  in either the 1901 census or 1911 census so I am wondering if the E in Mary Ann E P Rooke's name might be Ellen/Eleanor and that she was known as Nellie. (Just thinking outside the box!)

to candrjm, yes she was know as nellie and the E did stand for ellen! unfortunately the family of charles and elizabeth are not our direct family and emma sofia we think is some strain of the family tree.

to dazey999, his middle name was robert but unfortunately that is not the right one. the brother as sisters are all dead now apart from the two youngest.

i would be particularly interested if anyone could find the professions of the family or anything on the poultan family (married into the family with my granddad william J money)
