My children, who think that they are English even though my son was born in Scotland, are constantly reminded that even if you are born in a stable it does not make you a horse!! However my constant reminders appear to have no effect.

Well done everyone, found out today he was John Sinclair Watson, Thank you all. Does anyone know if I can access the census before 1901.

With the exception of some fragments, all the Irish censuses prior to 1901 have been destroyed.

Hello
I have found a Robert McBlain married to a Christian Watson who had a child die in 1771. The child was called Jane and they had another child, also Jane, in 1775. I cannot find any info on Christian. I have found a Leonard Watson who had Robert McBlain as an executor to his will ...... I wish I could find out more about the watson branch in this connection.
McBlain/McBlane any spelling anywhere
