Hi
Have you checked the 1901/1911 censuses which are free to search at
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search
Have you checked for their marriage to establish MJ's full christian names and age on marriage?
https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/list#page=1&countryId=1927084
When was their first child born - a copy of the birth cert will give MJ's christian name and will help with an approximate marriage year

Hi,
I can find the marriage of a John Sinclair Watson to Mary Jane McCormick on 20 May 1917 in St. Annes Church of Ireland, Shankill, Belfast. The fathers' names were William Henry Watson and Robert McCormick.

John Sinclair Watson's father was Wm Henry Watson. William Henry Watson’s marriage to Sarah Campbell was registered in Belfast Jan – Mar 1898, Vol 1, page 237. William’s father was John Sinclair Watson. Sarah’s father was William John Campbell.

Not sure,
the middle name Sinclair has never been mentioned, I am not saying its wrong, just never heard it mentioned. It was alway William John or John William but like I say could be, Thank you
