looking for Lawtons
« on: Monday 03 October 11 17:04 BST (UK) »
Hi

Can anyone help me trace my gt x 3 grandmother MARGARET LAWTON, she was born @ 1810 in Yorkshire and died in Tadcaster in 1850 aged 40.  She died in childbirth (or miscarriage) and was a spinster.  She had been living with John Macdonald (as on 1841 census) and at least 3 children with him, ELLEN 1837, ELIZABETH 1839 and ELIZABETH 1847, all born Tadcaster (I presume Elizabeth 1839 died though can find no birth or death record for her). The family appeared on 1841 census under the name MAcdonald but Ellen and Elizabeth were registered under the name LAwton and no father named on birth cert).  Any help in tracing MArgaret LAwton would be really appreciated
