Hi Dorothy 13,
I and my sons are blood-line descendant of Samuel Stewart b.1768. in Lount and I have written a comprehensive study on the Stewart's of Lount. I believe that John and William Stewart born in 1776 and 1772 respectively were either brothers or cousins of Samuel, but have not been able to prove this to date. The study naturally focuses on Samuel and his descendants up to the present day, but I have included info on the other Stewarts where available.
I have also combined this with a basic history of Coleorton Pottery. As you will know, the influence of the "Stewarts of Lount" on the Coleorton Pottery was considerable and living on the doorstep, they provided permanent as well as casual labour over a long period.
I am also in touch with another Stewart, who is a descendant of William and Elizabeth. You are obviously researching this particular line of Stewarts, as the Ann you mention was born to William and Elizabeth c.1817 in Stauton Harold. It could be argued that this particular line of Stewarts played the more important roles in the actual running of the Coleorton Pottery during the ownership period of Thomas Wilson. My grandfather actually raised four children in Pottery Row.
Hope this is of interest
Regards
