Browns Buildings still exist on the main road through Birtley, just north of the Barley Mow Inn

Mount Pleasant is an area north of St. Joseph's Catholic Church

Warwick Square was either on or just off Harris Bank.  A book on the history of Birtley states, in a chapter headed "Birtley about the middle of the 19th Century", ' Retracing our steps to Harris Bank, we find gardens and waste ground on one side of the lower part; only part of Warwick Square was built'.
