St Thomas's Graveyard,Ashton-in-Makerfield,-HANNAH
« on: Sunday 02 October 11 16:03 BST (UK) »
I wonder if anybody can help.

My Great Aunt Lilian HANNAH who died 30th November 1967 was buried in Grave 36 Line 1 with the following inscription "Also Lilian their youngest daughter born 10th December 1883 Died November 30th 1967"

I have not seen the grave so do not know it's condition but I imagine both her parents, Nathan HANNAH who died 6th May 1915 and Elizabeth HANNAH who died 15th February 1924 would be buried there based on the above inscription.

However I  would like to know if anybody else is buried in the grave as I am trying to trace their two sons Frank HANNAH (born 1874) and Nathaniel John HANNAH (born 1880).One of them certainly died before the 1911 census as at that time the number of live children is shown as 6 (with 7 births)

Many Thanks
Peter

Hi,

Thats a very interesting point however Dr Nathan Hannah gave his daughter away at the wedding, I have a press cutting of the main attendees and neither of his sons are listed. I also have some photos of my grandparents wedding but apart from showing the bride with her father and her sister Lilian who was the only bridesmaid I am not sure who the people are ! Unfortunately those in the family who might have known the information are no longer alive.

Thanks for your help
