Biby Leonard

 I am looking for any info on Biby Leonard,my great,great grandfather.
Have recently discovered that Mary Ann Hughes eloped with him &
married at Chester in 1848.I have genealogy for Mary Ann but so far at a loss to find Bibys genealogy.Can anyone help?

According to the Marriage Register for St Oswald Chester, Biby LEONARD was aged 21 at the time of his marriage and his  father was James LEONARD.


There is this baptism

Brierly Hill Staffordshire
Biby LEONARD son of James and Sarah LEONARD baptised 25th April 1827.

3 public family trees have his parents - James Leonard and Sarah Scrivens

they are also living in Old Monkland on the 1851 Scottish census same road as Biby was on the 1861.

According to one of the trees he has quite a few Siblings (9)

One webpage has Biby's parents as james leonard and Sarah Green

The company carrying on business under the name of the Roscolloch Iron Company and as brick manufacturers under the firm of Clarke , Walker and Company of which the subscribers James Walker, John M`ara senior and Biby Leonard are the sole partners has this day been dissolved of mutual consent with the retirement of Mr Walker. The remaining partners along with Alexander Cowie  will carry on the same business under the name of Roscolloch Iron Company.
