hi all

George White and Catherine had their first child in NSW in 1840.  I can't track down when they married but I suspect it ewas in the UK before they came to NSW.  Freebmd has a George White marrying in 1839 in southampton with a Catherine Adams on the same page.  but its not clear that they were a couple.  Can anyone help clarify?  Nay other George White/catherine marriages prior to mid 1840 that I have missed?

Are there any sites in the UK which record names of people who emigrated in NSW in the 1840s?  We have some shipping lists here but I can't find them in the lists.

Their daughter married henry king, my gggrandfather in 1871

Hi Nell

thanks for the interest - still very little information although I now know that their daughter, Selina, who married my ancestor was his first wife.  She died at 21 with two children.  It was his second wife that gave rise to my family.  Still interested in her but its on the back burner for a while.
