Yes I got the info from National Archives in London....it was a shame that it wasnt her as they have the old records there from stone hospital. I suppose it is possible it was her and they (stone hosp) put down the wrong christian name. I think that is likley as patients were not seem as human beings at that time.

It could well be that the wrong name was put down, was there any other information eg date or place of birth that might link it to Esther? Was the first name very different?

You can't help but feel sorry for the family can you as she was obviously shut away for a long time. Possibly she was suffering from some sort of post natal depression.

Letter stated from London Met. Archives says that there were two entries for E. Hutton at stone hosp.

 One Elizabeth Hutton of St Pancras admitted 10.04.1899 and still an inmate in 1901, the other was Emily of white chapel who died in 1901.

Letter concludes that Ester was not an inmate of stone house or Bexley asylum prior her admission to the private asylum at bethnal green. There are no surving records of the bethnal green asylum.
