Thank you so much for your help and especially taking the time to check with the cemetery.
I suspected that the grave would be difficult to identify after what had been decades of neglect. I find it odd that there is no record other than the register though when there are so many headstones from much older graves. Oh well; that's how it is.
[Yes, I was aware of the Charles Innes Grant and wife Eliza, if this is one of the the stones standing upright against the side of the Barracks burial ground. I've kept open the possibility that these are the parents of Elizabeth Grant, i.e. my great grandparents but have been unable to solve the mystery.]
(Kindly disregard this last paragraph. I think it was way past my bedtime when I wrote it. I am aware of the Grant headstone you mention but the ggrandparent ref is incorrect. DG)
