Turner marriage lookup. Ombersley/Grimley
« on: Thursday 29 September 11 11:27 BST (UK) »
Hi there
Is any one able to help me with a marriage look up for Grimley?
I have the marriage information from familysearch as follows:
William Turner and Mary Freeman married 30 September 1838 in Grimley, Worcestershire.
What I dont have is the name of the fathers of William or Mary. I could do with that information from the original to continue my research further and I would really appreciate any help trying to find out.
Thank you.
Bev Matthews

Thanks so much for that information. It has been extremely helpful.

The Turner family is my main Paternal line so any information you are able to give me regarding Turner/Freeman would be very much appreciated.

Thank you once again for your help.

Bev :)

Bev, so far I have the following, as indicated, my main tree is FREEMAN.
The dates were taken from the Grimley Parish Records and indicate the christening dates. I have recorded the dates & certificate numbers of the christening if required.
If you can add  any other children that would be good, also I don't have any info on William Turner apart from father being George taken from the marriage record:

Family Group Sheet
Husband: William Turner
Born: Abt. 1816 in: Ombersley, near Worcester
Married: 30 Sep 1838 in: Grimley, Worcester
Father: George Turner

F
8) Name: Breya ? Turner
? Born: 1855 in: Grimley, Worcester. England

I have also found the following christening to a William & Mary Turner, but yet to confirm if correct family:
16 January 1859........James Turner
23 June 1861............George Turner

There are also records of a John & Harriet Turner
Henry and Susan Turner
Not sure if they are the same Turner family ?
If you can confirm the above I can give further details of deaths etc of the Turners in the Grimley/Hallow area. :)
