William GREGORY bord 1735 Somerset England

Looking for information on William Gregory born 1735 Somerset England.
I am looking for a baptism and parents names if possible for William Gregory born abt 1735 in Somerset. and any other information you could give me on him, I have hit a brick wall with him for the last 4 months and can not seem to find out anything about him.
so it would be a tremendous help if anyone could give me any information on him and his parents.
I would be very grateful for any help.

Do you have an idea where he may have been born? This would narrow down the search considerably.

There are a number of possible William Gregory baptisms on Freereg around that time. It is impossible to say which one is the right one without a bit more information.

No sorry I dont know what part of somerset William was born I have been told he married Joan Andrews born 1735 Somerset. And they had a son also William Gregory born 1759 also from Somerset.
but that is all the information I have on William.

There is not enough information to make a definite identification of his baptism. What was the source of the information you hold please?

William born 1759 bap 11 Feb 1759 Holy Trinity Church Paulton Somerset , he married therein 1794  a Sussanah Whitlock bn 1766 they had 7 children all born in Paulton.  William had a sister and 2 brothers.Cant find anything for his parents though. I have some Gregorys in my tree, but as yet havn't connected these.  Have a look on Roots Web Somerset Coalfield Connections. Theres a lot of info on there, but I've been told that some of the Paulton Parish Registers were destroyed. My Gregory married a Carter all from that parish, there was more than one line of Carters ther and sorting them out is a nightmare. Anyway it might be a help to you.
