If she was in Ireland in 1911, and it's not yet clear that she was here then, there's only 2 Catherine Carrolls in Ireland born in England once of which is a single shopkeeper age 50-

Other one is age 52 but married and has family-

Only a possibility at this point. I didn't search under the surname Douglass(s), first name Kate, etc.
