Thomas Morrissey & sisters Murphy & Gorman in Ballacolla
« on: Tuesday 27 September 11 22:07 BST (UK) »
Looking for any info on Thomas Morrissey and his sisters Molly Murphy and Kate Gorman.  I know Molly & Kate both lived in Ballacolla, but not sure if they came from Freshford or Wexford  (large family and opinion divided between the two places).  Their father was James Morrissey and he was a shepherd, as stated on the marraige cert of Thomas Morrissey to Ellen Dove in 1914.  I don't know their mothers name - unfortunately no-one knows their mothers name

Thomas was born c1877, not sure if Molly and Kate were younger or older.  Molly married a Paddy  (Patrick?) Murphy and Kate married Michael Gorman.  places and dates not known.

Thomas is the line I am following, I know he settled in Newcastle Upon Tyne when married.  I know Molly and Paddy had no children so am hoping there may be some Gormans out there that might be able to help me

Have tried to find them all together in 1901 and 1911 census but with no luck.  I know that James was still living when Thomas married.

Any help would be much appreciated

Marriage for a Kate Morrissey and a Michael Gorman both have same volume and page no in Abbeyleix reg District last quarter 1912 so that is probably that marriage.
This is a Catherine Morrissey born in KIlkenny but living in Laois in 1911 census.
