Hi, hope someone can help.

Has anyone used bmdregisters.co.uk?

Before I fork out my hard earned cash, what information do the non conformist registers give? I am hoping for fathers occupation listed on a Baptist record.

Thanks D Orris

Hi,
There really is no  simple answer to your   query without  important things such as dates and religion.
Even  after all that , it  does really depend on what the person of that church decided to ask and record on the individuals record.
If you give  a little more info, such as  an era  and which one of the nonconformist religions  , it is  far easier  for people to try and help with your query
Hope that helps
Kind regards :)

Hi thanks for moving my post, I wasn't sure which section to put it in.

I wasn't aware that the registers were available elsewhere.

There are two that I am interested in, they are both a birth/baptism of William Floyd with a father of William Floyd, both at the Canon St, Baptist, Birmingham in 1807 and 1809.

I am particularly interested to know if the fathers occupation is mentioned.

Thanks D Orris

The Genealogist has these, but there is no reference to the father's occupation, which is not unusual for the period.

Thanks for the reply.  I suspected this was so, just trying any leads that present themself, this ancester remains as elusive as ever!
