Ashby, Ashpley, Aspley, Aspree, &c of City of Hereford
« on: Monday 26 September 11 19:30 BST (UK) »
In the 1700s, there were several families in the City of Hereford who had a surname which people found difficult to spell. There were so many variant spellings that it is not possible to list them all here. In fact, the only letters in common were the first two - "As". The remaining letters of the surname might include H, B, P. L. E. Y, R.

My research interest is the Freemen & Apprentices of the City of Hereford - 1660 to 1841.

Because there were so many variant spellings of this surname, I am finding it difficult to work out who was related to whom.

Is anyone researching these families? I would appreciate help to sort out who was who & how they were related to each other.

Anyone is welcome to the information which I have gathered on these families.

Because of the age of the information you require and the numerous surnames.
Have you any first names that others like myself could research for you??
Please put whatever info you have on here then someone will probably
come across the information you require on their sites!
