My grandfather, James Sidney Cox was born 21/4/1915 in Wandsworth, London.
I am trying to find the names of all his siblings and wondered if anyone could help.
I would also like to know his parents names.

Hi,and welcome to Rootschat, looking at his birth registration in 1915:-

James S Cox June qtr 1915 Wandsworth 1d 919 gives Mothers maiden name of Coventry.


In June qtr 1912 Wandsworth 1d 899 Dorothy M Cox Mothers maiden name Coventry
In Dec qtr 1918 Wandsworth 1d 612 Edward C Cox Mothers maiden name Coventry.

As the birth is after 1911, cant use any census to help establish his parentage, so his certificate of birth will prob be need - bonus is that after 1911/12, his mothers maiden name will be shown in the index, so might be able to deduce a marriage of his parents from that.

Anyways ... I'll see if I can find his birth index entry.

  so now to see if theres an obvious marriage


any thoughts on these 3 Male Cox to female Coventry possibilities - ie both names appear on the Index page?

Given the births that KB found, I'm not sure of any of those marriages being correct.

you really need the lad's Birth Cert to be sure of all this
