My condolences to you and your family Claire.  Adam was a treasure who willingly shared his knowledge of Durham's graveyards.
I was grateful for his help on more than one occasion and know he will be sadly missed.

I know that it is a long time since Adam died but I have only now come across this page and the one where he answered queries about inscriptions at Etherley church. Does anyone know what happened to his database?
