I have had lots of help from this site about my grandad in WW1 as no records found presumed burnt
I know he had 2 numbers in WW1 529 Northumberland Fusiliers and 39771 in the Gloucesters both numbers on medal card
I have just found on FindMyPast some Attestation papers for the Militia Dennis Forrest 6782 The Rifle Brigade date looks like 1904
Did think might be different person but when i check next of kin his father and 3 brothers all had the right name can someone please explain thankyou
