Jumping the gun a bit, but there is this baptism in Liverpool of a James Fishwick born to a tailor:

Baptisms: 9 Dec 1781 St Nicholas, Liverpool, Lancashire, England
James Fishwick - Son of John Fishwick
Born: 17 Nov 1781
Abode: Old Hall Street
Occupation: Taylor
Register: Baptisms 1781 - 1784, Page 77, Entry 719
Source: LDS Film 93833

(from the Lancs OPC)

I can find other Fishwicks but not my own!  :'(

Yes I have contacted her, she was also stuck on my John Fishwick for now! No-one knows exactly when he was born.  Need to get to Kew to look at the excise officer minute books, might have a clue to when he was born in there..

Anyway, this is that Jane Fishwick at Gregson St on the 1851 census. The plot does indeed thicken, she appears to be a spinster:

31 Gregson St
HOLLAND, Thomas Wid b. 1786 Callender
HOLLAND, William Son  Marr, b 1819 Callender
HOLLAND, Sarah Dau-in-law Marr b. 1825
HOLLAND, Elizabeth Grand-dau b. 1842
HOLLAND, Ellen Grand-dau b. 1846
HOLLAND, Thomas Stepson b 1849
FISHWICK, Jane Aunt Unmarried b 1784, on parish relief

All born Manchester. This is on the 'rescued' census for Deansgate that was damaged

8 May 1808,  marriage at Manchester Cathedral, Thomas Holland to Elizabeth Fishwick (on Family Search)

Jane and Elizabeth Fishwick are sisters?
