shed some light please
« on: Wednesday 21 September 11 22:58 BST (UK) »
Hi all
I wonder if anyone can shed some light on a possible marriage between Alexander Smith born 1882 and Annie McDonald who was 28 when she died at the start of February 1921. At that time their address is 4 Park Wynd Dundee. Cant be sure of the possible marriage date but think they had a young son (4) who also died in May. 1921.

                                                        thanks Tom

Hi Gnu
Thank you for the info on Annie McDonald.I gave a wrong date for Alex. Smith's birth it should have been 1892. We were always under the impression that Annie died in childbirth but the burials records say her son was 4years.
                                                 thanks Tom

The certs says that she died of TB  and young Alexander died of Encephalitis :-\

I think I still have your e-mail so will send them to you - it might be Saturday/Sunday as I'm on my travels again tomorrow.

Hi again Tom

I think that I gave you the wrong onfo from the censuses.  I've just checked Annie's death and marriage certs and find that her parents are given as Henry William Barrie McDonald, Jute Batcher and Annie, m.s. Barrie.

I'll check out her birth - should be circa 1893 and see if I can find her on the 1901.

Ever so sorry about that  :-[ :'(

170 Overgate, Dundee

Henry McDonald, 35, general labourer
Ann, w, 29
Ann,d,  8
Georgina, d,  2
David Barrie, boarder,  24, jute preparer

All born Dundee

David Barried could well be Ann's brother
