COMPLETED THANKS Great Uncle Albert
« on: Monday 19 September 11 18:52 BST (UK) »
Hi, Can anyone help me with great uncle Albert. Can the photo be restored maybe with a bit of colour? It was taken just before he went off to France for the first world war, he never came back. Thanks Snowy ;D

Oh, what a lovely thought!  Obviously a newspaper picture, and how I wish I had the expertise of some of the experts who respond to requests on this site.  Please, please, do have a go, I for one would like to see any results!!!

Hi Snowy  :D
Welcome to Roots and the photo restoration board.

This photo is very small and has been scanned at a very low 72 dpi.  If you can rescan this at 300dpi the results will be better
There are tutorials at the top of the board if you need help
