Hi...

I have had a look, and found in 1891 census

Robert Dobbie Head age 33
Eleanor            Wife   age 25 b Durham
Robert             Son      age 10 months b Durham
Emily Fields Servant Age 17

I looks to me that Robert was working as a Farmworker.
It looks like they were living at 37 Denham Road....I found it a bit difficult to read, so others here may be able to help

Cheers ;D

Collinson   Birkenhead/Liverpool
Barnes      Cheshire
Fox            Lancashire

Some info that may be of use - if you search the trade directories on my website www.picturespennymoor.co.uk for dobbie I think your ancestor is listed.

The listing mentions a Robert Dobbie who was a grocer in Weardale Street. The shop still exists (it's a craft shop now). It's on a corner at the top of a bank which has always been know locally as "Dobbies bank" ...!
