The National Library of Scotland has great maps on their website. Douchlage appears on this one: Ordnance Survey Maps One-inch 2nd edition, Scotland, 1898-1904, sheet 38.
GRAY - Inveresk; Lanarkshire
LINDSAY - Lanarkshire

Hi Doun,
I was born in Drymen, don't live there anymore but my folks do. I could go and have a look to see if its still there and take a photo if you like. Don't know when I will be there next, maybe in the next month or so.

My family owned the Douchlage Farm when I was a child in the 1940s and I spent some of the happiest days of my life there. It lies between Balfron and Aberfoyle. I have heaps of information and photos if you're interested.
I now live in Mt. Martha, Victoria Australia.
Look forward to your reply.

Regards
Eleanor

Hi Doun,

I've just seen your post and the replies.
Previously on Rootschat, reference was made to a Google application that tied together detailed topographical maps and corresponding vertical aerial photographs.  If you Google "wheresthepath" it will refer you to this site.  Once on it, type in "Douchlage" as your search term, and the current OS map for the Drymen area will be shown with a moveable cursor centred on the farm.  Adjacent to this will be the aerial photo which matches the map area shown, the photo has a moveable cursor linked to the one on the map.  Maps and photographs are in scale, and either can be dragged as required.
Hopefully this can supplement information you may already have, or that has been offered.

Regards,
Istrice

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
