St Martins marriage 'Jeffery/Jeffrey to Stubbins'
« on: Friday 16 September 11 08:10 BST (UK) »
Hello

I have an index listing for a marriage for an Amalia Stubbins and Robert Jeffery at St Martins Church, Leicester on the 6 Nov 1800.

Just wondering if anyone might have access to the record and wouldn't mind checking the detail please. I am almost certain this marriage is one of my ancestors but I would just like to know what spelling / additional notes were entered to confirm suspicions.

Many thanks.

Hi Bunnygirl

Thank you for your reply. Those additional Stubbins may well be useful, particularly the reference to Nottinghamshire! It gives me a new direction to search for the relatives of Amalia (also referred to as Millicent) if I can link her to Elizabeth - there is a distinct lack of Stubbins in Leicester if I try and go back further than 1800.

Many thanks
