GGGrandfather Francis Skeffington

I am trying to find the DOB of my Great,Great Grandfather Francis Skeffington.All i know about him is that he had a son also named Francis DOB 1849 who married Mary Savage on the 31 Oct 1874.

Difficult without knowing any more details. Can only find 1 likely death registration for a Francis Skeffington the right age- Francis SKEFFINGTON, age 64, Jan./Mar.1885 Belfast registration district, volume 1 page 300. Unfortunately death certificates contain little detail and unless son Francis is listed as the informant and identified as 'son' you can't be sure this is Francis' father.
Of course, Francis, Sr. could have died before 1864 or not stayed in Ireland.
