I was wondering if anyone could check the 1911 census for me please, for a Kate Wilkinson, and residence is Defender, this brings up two Kate Wilkinson, who I assume to be Mother and daughter.
I have two questions:
Was the Number is the House listed?
Was Kate Wilkinson listed as a Widow?
A Great x2 Uncle, Joseph Wilkinson died in 1910, and his address at the time of burial is given as Defender Rd.
I can find nothing on FreeBMD for a marriage, as of yet.
No relatives seem to have lived in Defender Rd to my knowledge, so perhaps he may have been married at the time of his death, and if his wife then remarried it would never have been known.
I found a great resource on
http://www.plimsoll.org/Southampton/streetdirectories/default.asp and in 1912, and a Mrs Wilkinson is listed living in 16, Defender Rd, Itchen, Southampton.
