Do you have the birth certificate?
Maybe a father's name is mentioned?

Or at least an address for Elizabeth?

June qtr 1882
Newcastle Upon Tyne    Vol 10b, page 108
Hindhaugh, Georgina McIntosh

The use of McIntosh for a middle name maybe implies that the father's surname is McIntosh?

Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Adoption back then was informal - no papers or legal work involved.

Looking At Elizabeth Hindhaugh's in Northumberland, there are a couple of likely candidates?

RG11, 5102, 53, 12 has a 21 year old General Servant Domestic, born Durham, living in Corbridge.

RG11, 5059, 102, 17 has a 31 year old Servant Cook, b Felton, in Ellison Place, Newcastle

Otherwise it's 39 years old and older, I think!

Wonder why the baptism in Chevington?
