The internal clock should match with what you have set in your taskbar but to confirm that it is not at fault you will need to go into the BIOS to check
Follow this carefully and You proceed at your own risk.
If you are asked for a password to enter the BIOS, you will have to commit to your repair shop.
If you are not confident to do the following then I should take it to your computer repair shop and explain the problem.
Boot the laptop and as it boots tap the F2 key. This should get you into what is known as the BIOS. If you are successful you will have a box that will look strange to you with loads of information.
Once in the BIOS do not alter anything except the clock if it needs changing.
Assuming that you are now in the BIOS, you will only be able to use certain keys of the keyboard. Mainly the arrow keys. The Date and Time should be on the Main window. If not look in System. If it's there, check to see what it says. If it corresponds correctly with the date and time then all is well. If it is incorrect you can adjust it. Use the down and up arrow keys to select it. Press Enter to select. The BIOS display should tell you the keys to use to make changes. If you make any changes you will need to save and exit. Use the arrow keys up to the top and then the right arrow key to move along to Exit. Press Enter and you will have the option to save and Exit. Press Y for yes. System will reboot with the changes made. You can press the Esc. button at any time to come back out with out saving any changes. Follow the instructions to Exit.
