With Ref to my Great Grand Father (Francis Skeffington)DOB 1849 Location unknown.He married Mary Savage on the 31st October 1874 at St Marys Church (chapel Lane) Belfast. At the time of the marriage his address was Bow Street and hers was millfield.They had two children Francis DOB 9Th Jan 1876 Antrim Belfast,and William John Dob 29Th July 1877 Antrim Belfast.
I need the following information on my Great Grand Father.
1/ Any information on his parents.
2/ When did he die.
3/ Any information on his first child,Francis
4/ Place of birth.

Welcome to Rootschat.

1/ Any information on his parents. Francis and Mary's marriage certificate should list his (and her) father's name and occupation. It will also give residence of bride and groom at the time of the marriage.

2/ When did he die. According to 1901 census Mary was a widow by 1901.

3/ Any information on his first child,Francis see reply #2
Son Francis and wife Annie living Bow Street in 1911- transcribed as Suffington:

4/ Place of birth. According to the 1901 census (reply #1) Francis was born in County Antrim.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

not sure if this is any link - but there is a Ellen Skeffington/skiffington listed as Godmother to my G.Grandfather

he was Edward O'Boyle born 1860 in Belfast --Godfather was William McHaffy

Edward's parents were John O'Boyle and Agnes Walls
beresford, moore, hanna, o'boyle, wall/s, mclarnon, gormley and other related names--from, donegore, antrim and Belfast, address, carrickhill place, Sydney st west, Tasmania st, lisnevanagh and islandreagh
