chris,around 1955 - 1960

Im nowhere near that date as far as the lair books go. Ive transcribed about half of the headstones in the cemetery and so far I have no Anne of Patrick Kelly between those dates. I only have an Annie Kelly (64) who died in 1967.

Chris,

I have a number of ancestors named Traynor who lived in Airdrie through the late 19th and 20th centuries many came from Ireland in the mid 19th Century.  I would be grateful if you could post any details that would help in my family search.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hugh

Hi High

Traynor is a well known name in this cemetery. Firtsly I deal with the lair book. The following chart gives the Traynors (various spellings as you'll see) that died bewteen 1860 and 1883.

The next chart will give details of photographs of headstones I have.

Hope this helps you

Chris,

This is great.  The Christian names that keep cropping up in the family line are Lawrence and Bernard and I have no doubts that some of the names on your list are related to me.  In the late 19th and the early 20th Century some of the family lived in Hallcraig street, Airdrie or at least a part of it that was called St Margaret's Place near where the chapel is now.

Thanks again for your help.

P.S. How can I access the photographs of the graves?

Hugh

Hi there I was wondering if someone could help me? I am trying to find a grave or a plot number. My grandparents lost a baby who died 3 hours after she was born. She was basically took away and my grandparents had no idea where she was buried. I think it would have been somewhere in Airdrie maybe st Joseph's cemetery. How would I find this out ? Can anyone help ?
