Hi Chris, I haven't been here for quite some time, but still searching for family. Do you have a Bamrick Margaret, buried at St. Joseph's, died 5th September 1860, and buried on the 7th same.
She was a Wedlock, married James Bamrick, mother of Martin, Mary, and Elizabeth.
Strangely, cause of death was "Unknown", but no RCE
Many thanks

Hi Irishseeker,

There's a Margaret the surname looks like Hedlack, its very difficult to make out, but Id suggest its your Margaret. Died on the 5th and buried on the 7th. It says she was aged 23 and was from Whiterigg. She is buried in Section B plot 64 of the original part of the cemetery.

Thank you so much Chris, the dates are right as well as the Christian name. I gather there is no photo, I also see that the Cemetery is almost full. This must be a tragedy for those with so many family therein, and more to come. I hope something turns up to enable the Council to change its' mind
Meantime again, I thank you for your help

Hi Chris

You are doing a heroic project!  I wondered if you had reached a William Press, died 17 December 1908 at Brewsterford Place, Coatbridge and most probably buried in St Joseph's Cemetery.  I would be really grateful for a look-up.

What an amazing piece of work. Kudos.

IF you have time or the inclination do you have any detailed data on the Campbells buried in the Cemetry. I have a Campbell friend in Australia trying to find data about the cemetry.

Once again a huge "Thank you" for your dedicated hard work.

Hi Chudleigh

Thanks for your kind words. In 1908 burials were in the railway plots & the eastside plots. Im afraid there is no sign of anyone by the surname Press. I also checked the original book and the name does not feature there either. Sorry.

Hi there

Thanks for your kind words. Campbell is a very popular name within the cemetery and I have detailed information on almost all of them which includes addresses. However, the books belong to the Archives and I can no longer give out lists, which I used to do. I can give details on specific search requests but I cannot give out lists.

I can give you a list of Campbell's that I have headstone pics for because this is my own work.

I don't have a pic for Margaret. I do have one for a Ellen Bambrick, married to John Devine.  She died in 1950.

In the book of the eastside plots theres three Bambricks, all children. Ellen, Patrick & George who died between 1930 & 1941.

In the railway plots theres a Martin Bambrick who died in 1903, aged 40

In the first book 1860-1900 there are several.

John died 1879 aged 50
John 1880 aged 71
James 1893 aged 75
Elizabeth 1896 aged 70
Ann 1881 aged 60

If any are yours I can PM full details

I hope you can help me. I am looking for burial information on the William Martin family. Some of them (or all) may predate St. Joseph's, but I will list them anyway. They were Catholic and any suggestions as to where to look for their burials would be appreciated. They are as follows:

William Martin (b. 1818) - died August 1852 in a coal mining accident near Airdrie
Jane or Rosanna Brack Martin (b. 1820) - sometime between 1853 and 1861
Margaret Martin (b. 1845) - sometime between 1853 and 1861
Edward Martin (b. 1853) - sometime between 1853 and 1861

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Toni,

St Joseph's didn't open until 1860. Ive checked all Martins and the first one doesn't appear until 1865 and that's a 50 year old Henry.
