Can anybody date this photo?

I have recently acquired this photo, I think it is a photo of my GGGrandmother Mary Gallagher Mulloy who emigrated to Philadelphia from Donegal around 1882, I think it was taken around 1890, what do folks think?

By comparing with my grandparents' wedding photo securely dated in september 1896 I am confident that this photo was taken in the mid to late 1890s.

I agree with your time frame. I'd say anywhere between 1895 to about 1905 based on the dress and the style of the photograph itself.

I agree with JDJames89 and Redroger: ca. 1895-1905 based on the dress
Experienced historical researcher in Holland and general history.

To return to a theme which I have suggested before if members have securely dated photographs would it be helpful to members to post them on a thread for reference purposes?

Yes about 1905 or so. Is it a true black&white though? That would make it later...please always scan in colour as it's a dating clue.
