Welcome to RootsChat  :)

They were all born in South west Cork and the family farm going back to around 1800 was in Killaderry about three miles south of Skibbereen in the parish of Castlehaven.

Here's Killaderry townland

My Mum was Bridget Bohane 1918-1998
Her father was Peter Bohane 1864-1944
Her mother was Ellen Bohane ( nee Hegarty) 1877-1955

Might this be your mother's birth?

Thank you for looking, that’s Mum and the map is Killaderry.
Apart from Covid years ,I go “home “every year. I have many files linking Bohanes of Killaderry and Herartys of Laharadane ( the next door townland).
What I can’t work out is why my Mum would have referred to Leanords as cousins.
I can track all my Uncles and Aunts, know all my first cousins in Ireland.
I know where my grandfather Peters brothers and sisters went ,who they married and their children. The only one I haven’t tracked is my great Aunt Catherine. Her father would have been Michael Bohane of Killaderry. I can’t find a marriage so thought she may have died. All the Bohanes  who went to the USA kept together over two generations, well three if we count my American cousin’s children !
After years of searching I found where my grandmother’s sisters went which was Anaconda Deer Park in Montana. I have their naturalisation, marriage and deaths and it can’t be them. Wrong names at marriage and my Mum always said they didn’t know what had happened to them. They were born pre 1877. So the link to the Leanords remains a mystery !

I wonder if I may be able to work out the link between your family and the Leonard’s.
My grandmother was Anne Leonard and my grandfather Matthew Sheehy, who moved from Ireland to Slough. I don’t recognize your family name but my older relatives may.
