John Patrick Dougan
« on: Thursday 08 September 11 13:08 BST (UK) »
Hi to all

Trying to trace John Patrick Dougan and family from Glasgow.
He lived in Sydney NSW towards the latter end of the 19th century and married my grandads sister Margaret Currie around 1890ish.
They had 7 children and many of the descendants still live in the Sydney area.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
John

I'm sorry sancti I don't know either.

I'm chasing this on behalf of my 2nd cousin in Sydney who has recently lost her father so I don't want to disturb her just now.

Just thought I might touch something in someones head - bit of a long shot I know with such scant info.

Thanks for your help.

John

No sorry no idea about that either.

All I can give is a shot at his age in 1892 probably somewhere between 27 & 37.

He married my grandad's sister Magaret Currie 1892 in Leichhardt, Sydney and his children were Winifred, Rita (Margaret), Kathleen, Maurice, Teresa, Lucy and one other who died in infancy whose name I think was Alice - all born Sydney.

Thanks again
John

Ancestry has an Australian death index for a John P Dougan

Will the death record give his parents names?
