Williams in Rosemarket
« on: Wednesday 07 September 11 10:57 BST (UK) »
I am seeking information regarding Thomas Williams, born in Rosemarket in either 1805/06 or 1815/16.

His age varies in the Census records from 1841 through to 1881, hence the ten year difference in possible birth years.

His wife was Martha, although I have yet to establish her maiden name.  She was reputedly born in Llangwm in 1806.

Thomas's parents were possibly John and Elizabeth (born 1779)

Any further information that anyone can provide concerning the names mentioned in this post would be much appreciated.

A Thomas Williams married Martha Follant at Rosemarket 11 June 1835, as a long shot a John Thomas married Elizabeth Powell at Rosemarket in 1811.

I'm pretty sure at some point I have supplied this exact same information to someone else, so with luck you may receive further enlightenment.

The original Rosemarket mrge register covering 1835 is missing and not held at the Record Office. I have ascertained that the index's held at the Record Office for the period come from the B.T.'s or copies of the original held at the NLoW so am unable to double check the spelling of Follant or Folland.
You could try an email to the NLoW and obtain a Jpeg/photocopy of the entry for your own interest.
