Hi again Barbara.

Thanks for clarifying which area you want help with.

I looked through earlier trade directories from the 1920's onwards
but only found Eleanor in 1936 under her own name.

I am sure you are correct that Edward seems to have vanished.

Also I presume you have looked to see if you could find a service
record for him as he was a soldier.

Hopefully someone else may have some ideas for you to proceed.

Hi Barbara

Since there are no credible death or other records after 1920, I have been looking at possibilities of where he may have gone.

You may have this already, but if not it may be another lead, EJ's son, possibly...

Sept. 1940 Edward Paul Raymond & Winifred Wilkins, mar. Northampton. BMD, V. 3b, P. 75

Bit of a long shot, but are there any links that you are aware of with Lambeth, Eastbourne or Ipswich? On the family search and IGI I have put 2 and 2 together and may have arrived at 5!

Ipswich in particular fits in well with birth date and a possible birth place Eastbourne, I know it's quite a way from Northampthon... Though I'll PM you if the 1901 Ipswich census record is correct and you are not aware.

Regards
Geoff
