Hi JJ

Yes, it looks like Simon. Poor chap was a Lemon G Dangerfield on the 1891 census  ??? and a Simeon in 1901.  There is a death record for Simon G Dangerfield Q3 1950 Smethwick. Staffordshire. 9 b 302

Thanks JJ and Sandra,

Very interesting find.

from my tree, William had a brother Simon G 1881 and sister Mary J 1885. No one knew alot about mary, but I think Simon died here in the midlands not certain about 1950 as I remember him around mid/late 1950's.

Simon and Mary were still with parents in 1901 UK census RG13/2718 page 26 and he also served in 1914-18 WW1.

thanks again

I found this earlier but had to cook supper:
Marriage March Q. 1901 - William Henry Dangerfield / W. Bromwich    / vol 6b  p.952 but Lillian is missing from page...
Or was he perhaps married to an Elizabeth first??? 1911 Winnipeg says immigration date 1903
http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/census11/SplitView.jsp?id=34749
an Elizabeth Dangerfield died March 7 Wpg. 1914 age 45
http://vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/Query.php
She's buried in Brookside cemetery with an Edith nearby....Edith was one year old, so not sure whose she'd be...

Can't see daughter Doris's birth in 1908 to see last name of Elizabeth...

And there is a birthday tribute in the Wpg free press newspaper Aug. 20 1938

In 1906 Winnipeg Brother-in-law and his brother are living with Wm & Elizabeth
