In 1871 William Riddle is in Harlington, widowed bn Fulmer - he has a lodger Henry Hills age 52 bn Chalfont, Bucks and Henry's wife Sarah age 55 also bn Chalfont.

Sarah's age fits but I can't see a marriage


The 1841 states that William and Frances were not bn in County but the children were bn Middlesex

I suppose Chalfont would come under Amersham?

Have you tried him under Hill rather than Hills?

If you get the marriage details then you will know if William was a widower & the same for Frances but this marriage is to early to get her maiden name.
