Irish World Heritage Centre, Co Tyrone at RooteIreland.ie has the following children of  Michael and Eliza Taggart all registered in the Registration District of Omagh.

John Taggart 1869
Lizzie Taggart 1874
Margaret Taggart 1876
John Taggart 1878
Hugh Taggart 1880
Michael Taggart 1882

There is no Peter but they might not have them all. This is almost certainly all one family and if so the first John must have died. I think John born 1878 is probably your man and you can order a transcript of the certificate online for 5 euro or all six records for 20 euro and get instant copies for you to download.

Good luck,
J.T.A.

I have Taggarts also from Tyrone who came to Durham but don't seem to be related and mine were Church of England. Try a few spellings when searching, it took me ages and I had Taghit, Taygart and Tegart bring up some things, Tegart brought up an Irish marriage certificate.

There was a John Taggart born to a Michael Taggart and Eliza (nee Boyle) in Gortinagin, Tyrone baptised on the 6th April 1878...

Hope you find them,

Dan
