Hello and a warm welcome to Rootschat!  Have you found these Taggarts in the 1901 (if applicable) and 1911 censuses?  Perhaps an overzealous census enumerator OR the Taggarts themselves listed their home parish and/or county in Ireland.  Also, many Irish had their home parish and/or county listed on their tombstones (monuments).....And, finally, any of the church records in England MAY list their home parish in Ireland. I hope this may help.  Pat

The latest census just says "County Tyrone, Ireland".

Not much help, eh?! ;D

Marriage certificates should have their parents names/addresses.
When you say early 1900's, could they have still been in Ireland in 1901?
If they were, you can check the 1901 Irish census for them. (It's free) http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

Marriage certificates should have their parents names/addresses.

English marriage certificates only state father's names & occupations, and address of both bride & groom at the time of marriage - although this might just state "of this parish".

As I know from my own 2 marriages( ;D) the address stated is only the qualifying residential address.

First time around I "moved in" with my future wife's family, in order to save the costs of applying for a licence in another county.

Second time around, I "moved in" with my married daughter for the relevant 7 nights. Although British, I work in the Netherlands, but still had to provide an address in the UK!

I did check the Ireland 1901 census, but results were inconclusive?

The Names I'm looking to connect are John (1879), Michael (1884) and Peter (1885). John I am certain about as he is my Grandfather. His Father was Michael who was a Farmer. (From Marriage certificate) but no Fathers address. I understand that the Catholic Church Records from 1907 are unlikely to give any more detail ??

Hi,
John married in April 1907. His fathers name was Michael and not shown as deceased. I can't tell if he was there or not.
