Hello..
William Cuthbert did indeed marry a Sarah in Belfast (PR) , Co. Antrim in 1890.
Also, I can see 9 children born to a William Cuthbert and a Sarah from
www.rootsireland.ie
but have only managed to find 5 of them.
Joseph Cuthbert 1891
Rachel Cuthbert 1894
Ernest Cuthbert 1897
William Alex Cuthbert 1899
Annie Cuthbert 1901
Here's William and Sarah together on 1901 Census of Ireland:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Dock_Ward/Spamount_Street/937462/
I think that William died before 1911 as couldn't find him on the 1911 Census but I did find Sarah who married again..I checked on rootsireland.ie and the marriage of Sarah Cuthbert and Thomas Gordon in 1905 in Belfast (CI).
This is them on the 1911 Census of Ireland:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Dock_Ward/Spencer_St/138548/
Its seems that Thomas and Sarah didn't have any children.
Hope that this helps,
Annie
The surnames, which I am interested in are; Maternal side: Ryan, Kevin, Grant, Grady, Gleeson, Walsh, Dwyer, Paternal side: O' Dwyer, Woodlock, Rochford & Britton - all in Tipperary; and Kelly and Hoynes in Laois.
Ryan, Campbell, Luttrell, Grant, Grahame, Bainbridge and Brown in Queensland, Australia
Tighe in Victoria, Australia.
Grant in Philadelphia, Sullivan and Penny in New York; and Britton in Connecticut

folks - many thanks for the prompt replies - it would seem that after Sarah died, Thomas Gordon took up with Jeannie McClelland (never married) and lived together until his death in 1943.
Jeannie was the daughter of Annie Cuthbert. Annie Cuthbert was the sister of William Cuthbert - therefore he lived over the brush with his step niece (?) who had come from a broken marriage. Jeannie was my great grandmother.
If anyone stumbles on any more information please let me know
Thanks
John
